Contractor: Balfour Beatty

“I’d like to thank Balfour Beatty for helping me achieve everything I have and helping me get to where I am today. I’d also like to thank Alfie and everyone who I work with on site. Also a big thanks to everyone from the Heathrow Shared Apprenticeship Scheme who have helped and supported me. It’s a great mark of achievement for my progression, future and where I want to eventually be in life.”

Ryan Banks, Electrician Apprentice

“Ryan joined our Balfour Beatty Team in April this year and has been providing support on one of our Q6 Baggage Upgrade Projects at Terminal 4. Ryan’s attitude to work has been excellent and his commitment to achieving a good working relationships within our team and others is second to none. Since joining he has shown an understanding of being able to read detailed electrical drawings and visualising where and how equipment can be installed. Going forward Ryan is looking forward to a range of challenges which the electrical industry will throw at him, which I’m sure he will relish. The apprentice of the year award is well deserved for all of Ryan’s hard work he has done so far, Well done Ryan!”
