Occupational Work Supervision – (Construction) NVQ Level 3
What Is It?
This Level 3 NVQ assessment is ideal for construction employees to confirm their occupational knowledge, giving them the option to work towards supervisory or managerial construction positions.
In the construction industry, NVQ qualifications, including this Level 3 assessment, are an industry recognised method of demonstrating and receiving accreditation for high work standards in the field.
Why is it important?
Occupational work supervision is an important part of the construction industry, requiring high levels of responsibility in order to ensure quality standards and workplace operations are met.
Successful completion of this assessment acknowledges industry level skills, conforming with the recent Construction Design Management Regulation Updates. These changes require all levels of construction workers to demonstrate professional skills and knowledge in a formally recognised manner.
Who Is It For?
This work-based qualification is aimed at learners who are working, or want to work, in a range of areas in construction and the built environment. It could lead to employment as a construction supervisor or manager.
Do you need any prior qualifications?
No prior qualifications are needed but an initial assessment at your place of work is required to see if you meet the requirements or can demonstrate your experience.
How Does It Work?
Our assessors are experts in NVQ assessment and delivery and are on hand to assist in proving industry level competence. A member of our team will conduct workplace observations on site and will ensure that observations are conducted with minimal interference. This process will be outlined in comprehensive delivery plans, and fully explained prior to initial workplace assessments.
NVQ qualifications recognise a variety of different evidence types when it comes to the assessment process. With a combination of visual assessment, professional discussion and witness testimony, assessment is thorough in reflecting the candidate’s knowledge and skill.
To achieve this NVQ assessment level, evidence of a wide variety of skills including the ability to work with a team, organise workplace operations and ensuring health and safety compliance are required.
