K10 are proud to partner with Heathrow Airport on their recently launched Shared Apprenticeship Scheme. Delivered by the Heathrow Employment and Skills Academy, the scheme brings together Heathrow’s major construction companies.

Since the beginning of 2019, apprentices have already started on site with:

Chisholm & Winch

Thomas Interiors

Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick

Trinity Fire & Security Systems

Contour construction

Working together, we’re offering local people the opportunity not only to work across several disciplines on a range of exciting Heathrow projects, but also the chance to gain a nationally recognised qualification in their chosen discipline at the same time.

As with our regular apprenticeship schemes, there will be a dedicated Apprentice Programme Manager fully supporting each apprentice for the duration of the scheme, during their time on site and at a local FE college.

“We have an exciting opportunity here at Heathrow. Not only do our apprentices have the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience, they get to do so on some of the most exciting projects at the airport, alongside some excellent companies and their staff. I would have loved such an opportunity when I was first starting out!” –Angus Martyn, K10 Lead at Heathrow
